Executive Director
Sharon has worked in children’s museums and schools for over 30 years. She was awarded the Provost Fellowship at the University of Rochester where she earned a PhD in multicultural education. Her writing has been published in the Association of Children’s Museums Quarterly Journal, the Journal of American Indian Education, and Teacher Education Quarterly. Her book Native Cultural Competency in Mainstream Schooling was published by Palgrave Macmillan. Sharon has worked as a museum consultant in North Africa as a Fulbright Specialist.
Director of Science Education
Rajiv has a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Clarkson University and a master’s degree in education from St. Lawrence University. Rajiv is passionate about chemistry, environmental science, and sustainability. He inspires students and colleagues alike by creating joyful learning environments. Rajiv is excited to bring a love of science to kids in the North Country.
Arts Educator/Staff Artist
Liza received her MFA in Visual Studies from SUNY Buffalo and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Potsdam. In addition to creating and exhibiting her own artwork, Liza teaches drawing and 3D design at St. Lawrence University and SUNY Potsdam. Program Manager
Harmony has a BA in Museum Studies and Archeology from SUNY Potsdam. As a student, she interned at the Gibson Gallery, the North Country Children’s Museum, and the Archeological Research Hub. Back home in the Rochester area, she gave historical tours with the Finger Lakes Rail Riders. Harmony loves opportunities for hands-on learning and engaging with kids and families.
