In collaboration with SUNY Potsdam’s Gibson Gallery and St. Lawrence University’s Brush Gallery’s current exhibition “Sewn in Protest” we will learn about the Chilean Arpilleras. We will view some of the work on display at both museums and then make our own rendition of an Arpillera using felt, glue, and small 3D objects. We encourage community members to visit this amazing cultural exhibition in person at either SUNY Potsdam or St. Lawrence University as the Arpilleras will return to Chile after the show concludes. Special Guest Oscar Sarmiento will join us with a special presentation and musical experience!
